There has always been a mystery surrounding this bunker. Some sources claim it to have housed a 75mm gun whilst others claim a 88mm gun. There were also different claims by British regiments as to who knocked out the gun on D-day, but this now seems to be settled in favour of the Suffolk Regiment who took it out with a 25lb gun.
