Marine Hospital Map 1210E
In the centre of Cherbourg near the port is the old Marine Hospital. The German's took over the hospital during the occupation and built a SK fortified hospital bunker.
The hospital closed a few years ago and is now used as the French film university. When I walked round the site one Sunday it was completely deserted and although I did not find the SK hospital bunker which I believe in inside the main building, I did find what I believe to be a an air raid shelter. It was my first visit and the sheer size of the site is mind boggling.
