The British gave all of the German positions in the Sword Beach area code names of British Cars, and these names have stuck. The site just below Hillman is now built up and forms a horse riding school. The Czech cannons placed here had a limited range and were still mounted on their wheeled carriages. This made them more difficult to operate as each time they fired the would have to be re-sighted.
