Morsalines Type 680 N49 34.346 W001 18.668 Map 1310OWN109 This well preserved little bunker sits on the edge of the village just alongside the church. It was built to house a 75 mm anti tank gun, to help repel any landings south of Cap de la Hague. It is one of the rare adaptations that has grooves for the wheels of the gun carriage, and groves cut into the concrete so that the gun can be elevated on its carriage. The ventilation fan is still in place and is one of the few to be found in the smaller bunkers. Only the top half of the bunker has been camouflaged. |
