Situated on the Bluff to the west of Omaha Beach this position complemented the Beach Defence offered by WN72. To the western end, where the white house is today was a small PDT, along with machine gun and mortar positions. There was also a double machine gun post which protected the road down to the beach. This was the only paved road down the beach at the time of the liberation. The houses in front of the position are new.
